by

Susan Dennard (featuring Sarah J. Maas)

Welcome to this special weekend edition of Pub(lishing) Crawl–a chance for us to share BIG NEWS that just cannot wait.

And what is this un-wait-able news, you ask?

Sarah’s first e-novella released EARLY!

That’s right, you can buy the ebook The Assassin and the Pirate Lord RIGHT NOW. It’s currently available on Amazon, and will soon be available for Nook, Kobo, and wherever Bloomsbury e-books are sold! To see Sarah’s announcement about the release (along with some super-exciting other news), click here!

For those of you who haven’t yet heard, Bloomsbury Children’s will be releasing FOUR prequel e-novellas leading up to the August 7th, 2012 release of Throne of Glass (beginning with The Assassin and the Pirate Lord)! While each novella is stand-alone, all four novellas form the arc of Celaena (the heroine of Throne of Glass) going from the world’s most feared assassin to being thrown into the Salt Mines. You can find out more information about the novellas over here!

THE ASSASSIN AND THE PIRATE LORD

On a remote island in a tropical sea, Celaena Sardothien, feared assassin, has come for retribution. She’s been sent by the Assassin’s Guild to collect on a debt they are owed by the Lord of the Pirates. But when Celaena learns that the agreed payment is not in money, but in slaves, her mission suddenly changes – and she will risk everything to right the wrong she’s been sent to bring about.

Doesn’t that make you want to read it? (Because it SHOULD.)

And in honor of the release of the first novella, we’re giving away an e-copy of The Assassin and the Pirate Lord! Just fill out the form below!

Dreadfully excited! I kind of regret only reading the first one or two chapters back in FP, but that just means I’m not spoiled for the books! Congratulations, Sarah!

Congrats, Sarah! So excited that the novella is released. I read about Celaena back when your story was on Fictionpress, and since then I’ve been waiting and waiting to read more…and now the day is here! And there will be more to come! This year is going to be awesome.

You have no idea how excited I am!!! I read Throne of Glass back when it was in its fictionpress says as Queen of Glass and it’s stuck with me ever since. I’ over the moon, wet my pants like a little kid excited that there are going to be four novellas coming out so that I can enjoy the book and its characters ever more!!!

SO SO excited to read Throne of Glass + all of its prequels!

I didn’t actually get to finish reading QoG back in FP before it was taken down so I’ve been waiting ever since and now that it’s so close to actually being on bookshelves I am beside myself with glee.

One sad thing: I don’t live in the US, so it’s a little tough for me to get the e-novella now. Plus, I own a Nook, not a kindle. :(

WOOOO!! That’s super exciting!!! Unfortunately, I haven’t yet given into the e-reader pressure. But I can’t wait to read Throne of Glass! :)

  29. Posted January 26, 2012 at 9:38 am | Permalink

SUPER DUPER excited! I spent many sleepless nights reading the rough version of it a looong time ago on FictionPress and I can’t wait to see how the story and characters have changed. Also it is always nice to see “one of our own” be successful. :)

  30. Posted January 26, 2012 at 1:43 pm | Permalink

Sounds ridiculously fun – will definitely have to read it!

  31. Posted January 27, 2012 at 10:48 am | Permalink

Gosh, SO EXCITED TO READ THIS SERIES! I am so sorry I missed its stint on Fictionpress, but I’m sure it’s going to be just as awesome in print :)
